EXAMPLE IS BETTER THAN INSTRUCTION

Last night I was reading a magazine in that I found the above line “EXAMPLE IS BETTER THAN INSTRUCTION” I was really impressed by reading that line and I decided to write a blog on it. It is really very true that saying and doing are two different things. It is easy to say something, but it is difficult to perform it. For performing a task and to give something a practical shape, a person needs will power, courage and continuous efforts. I am also in the favor of this concept. While I was writing the blog on this subject some usual examples arrived in my mind like I saw many fathers instruct their children not to smoke but they are their self are chain smokers. So a child cannot give up smoking until his father himself sets an example. Similarly mostly parents want their children would offer prayer five times daily but if the parents are not offering prayers so the instruction for the children is useless. The common habit of lying in us is just because the parents’ only precept the children not to lie but they are also lying on the same time so why they expect that their children will not do that thing. It is necessary to set an example which is better than precept.
The saying “example is better than instruction” is more true about the government. If the government is itself corrupt, it cannot expect the people to good and honest. It is said that “JAISI GOVERNMENT WAISE LOUG.” If the government does wrong deeds in the society, it loses respect and confidence of the people. This is what happening in our country. Practical demonstration always helps in understanding everything that is being given.
Moreover, laws are made in our country and are good in books. But they are made for the good of us. But they have no values if they are not followed so practical example is necessary at each and every level. We should always follow the golden rule that “DO WHAT YOU PREACH.” If we project good manners so it has good influence on others and if we project something bad so we lose our respect and it will leave negative impression on others. At last I believe in this sentence that “MAN LIVES IN DEEDS NOT IN WORDS.”
