PUBLIC CORRUPTION

As we all know that in our country “POWER CORRUPTS AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.” Corruption is becoming a habit and practice and can be easily found at all the walks of life. But the thing is that our people have targeted our government for the criticism. Here I am not denying that our government is not corrupt. Both the public and the government are corrupt. So why we just only blame our leaders for the downfall of our state even we are also included equally in that crime. Why we do not criticize our public for performing the same action?????? Even daily I watch several programs on television which are designed to criticize the government only but no attention is paying towards the corrupted public.

Corruption has arisen at each and every level in our country. Public corruption means misuse of powers, violation of legal norms and moral standards. In Pakistan people believe in the saying that “PUT YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET AND EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT.” Our people also involved same as our government. Departure from religious values, lack of fear of God and sinking morality are the main causes of public corruption. In Pakistan the corruption flows from lower level to higher level. No action is taken for the misuse of powers. Government and people both are involved and there is still no check and balance. This corruption also affects our economy. I think that the reason behind this is nobody loves the country and no fear of God. All are busy in snatching wealth and to become rich at the cost of the country. The factor of nationalism is missing. It’s just simple that “WHEN THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY” but no one is showing will to resolve this issue. The necessary laws are to be made to punish the corrupt.
